WOGC to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Special Congress

On June 29, 2015, Chairman of the CARY YAN attended the United Nations Climate Change Special Congress on behalf of WOGC to the United Nations Headquarters in New York. More than 190 member states of the United Nations were represented at the conference.

Chairman of the CARY YAN briefed UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the initiatives and achievements of the Asian region, particularly China's response to climate change, and the efforts made by WOGC in cooperating with the United Nations Program on Climate Change Implementation. At the same time, the 69th President of the United Nations General Assembly Sam Kahamba Kutaisa, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson introduced GNCCOUN organization and development plan, has been highly recognized by the leaders. The Organizing Committee also arranged for President CARY YAN to attend the presidential dinner at the United Nations Headquarters Ballroom. During the banquet, CARY YAN Chairman to the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly Moen Si Lu Teft, Ghana Cardinal Peter Tulkson, former Mexican President Felipe Calderon, United Nations Climate Change Framework (UNFCCC) Executive Secretary Christina Fagelas, the EU ambassador to the United Nations and other delegates, respectively, introduced the three organizations vision and future work plan, once again received the recognition and support of global leaders.
