Launch of WOGC

During the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Heads of State & Government, UN Officials, Ambassadors, celebrities, private sector and hundreds of guests attended a High level Reception for the launch of the World Organization of Governance & Competitiveness at United Nations Plaza honoring the First Anniversary of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Under the framework of the UNSDGs, the WOGC mission focuses on implementing SDGs, improving governance and enhancing competitiveness in developing countries.

UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, has stated "All of you are leaders in the campaign for a world without poverty, a thriving planet, a vibrant and inclusive global economy, and a life of dignity for all.

Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, highlighted "the importance of global competitiveness and ICT as a tool for sustainable development, and recognized organizations like WOGC to promote the implementation of the UNSDGs."

ICT Affairs Advisor of Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Mr. Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed, received a WOGC Award for his commitment and outstanding leadership with "Digital Bangladesh Initiative" as tool in boosting development in Bangladesh.

Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs for Guatemala, Anamaria Dieguez Arevalo emphasized global competitiveness as improving economic growth and sustainable development for Central America and appreciation for WOGC initiatives in Trifinio.

Executive National Director of Plan Trifinio El Salvador, Mr. Sergio Bran, who received a WOGC Award for SD and Integration of the Trifinio region, noted the importance of global competitiveness and capacity building to assist local communities improving living conditions.
